PRAGUE HIGHLIGHTS ( duration 3 hrs.)
This
introductory tour will enable to you to get acquainted
with the “obligatory” sigtseeing spots of the Golden
City. It starts on the Strahov Hill to show you from
above the whole, UNESCO protected, historical centre
and then, descending all the time, you will visit the
Castle Town (Hradcany) and the Castle itself (Pražský
hrad), encluded a brief visit to the interior of the
St. Vitus´ Cathedral. Descending from the Castle, you
will pass through the fascinating Baroque quarter named
Lesser Town (Mala strana) to reach and cross the Gothic
Charles Bridge, the oldest in Prague, and one of the
most famous and beautifull in the world. Proceeding
this walking tour in direction to the Old Town (Stare
mesto), you will have a brief opportunity to create
for yourself an idea about the world famous JewishGhetto
of Prague (Old-New Synagogue, Old Cemetery). Afterwards,
in the very heart of the Old Town, you will admire the
breathtaking scenery of the Old Town Square with its
most famous tourist attraction – the Astronomical Clock
(Orloj) of the ancient Town Hall. After a short detour
the scope of which will be to present to you the Powder
Gate, another Prague´s Gothic Jewel, and the Municipal
House (Obecní dùm), the top of the city´s Art Nouveau
architecture. Finally you will reach the Wenceslas Square
(Vaclavske namesti), Prague´s most famous meeting point
of political events, on the top of which, in front of
the St. Wenceslas equestrian statue, you will have a
chance to render homage to the world known heroe of
Czechoslovakia´s modern history, Jan Palach, who burnt
himself alive there in 1969.

OLD TOWN AND JEWISH QUARTER ( duration 3 hrs.)
During
this tour you will get acquainted with a unique museum
of architectural styles which alternated on this territory
during 10 centuries. A museum in the open air, of course.
Thus you will get a proper walking tour during which
tens of beautifull palaces, churches and other monuments
which create the fascinating scenary of the Old Town´
s picturesque streets and monumental squares will be
shown and explained to you such as the Old town Square
with the Old Town Hall and its Astronomical Clock (Orloj),
the Gothic church of Our Lady of Tyn and the Baroque
Hussite church of St. Nicholas, the rich Rococo Goltz-Kinsky
Palace, the charming Celetna Sreet and the ancient merchands´
center Ungelt,
St. James´ Church and its unique Baroque organ (more
than 7.000 pipes), the Powder Gate, another Prague´s
Gothic Jewel, but also outstanding examples of architectural
styles from the beginning of the 20th century, such
as the opulent Art Nouveau Municipal House or the Black
Virgin House, the most referred specimen of Prague´s
Cubism. Afterwards, a short detour through the Revolucni
street will bring you to one of the Moldau (Vltava)
river embenkments from which you will be given the opportunity
to view some of the most ravishing panoramic views of
the Prague Castle and the Lesser Town. This promenade
terminates in the Parizska (Paris) Street, one of the
most elegant of Prague, in the neighbourhood of which
all the sightseeing spots of the world famous previous
Jewish Ghetto are situated (6 synagogues, Jewish Town
Hall and the Old Jewish Cemetery

LESSER TOWN AND NEW TOWN ( duration 3 hrs.)
You
definetely shouldn´t miss this tour because it will
allow you to explore in detail the most beautifull,
original, picturesque and romantic among the five Prague´s
historical towns – the Lesser Town, an almost completely
Baroque quarter (by eighty per cent). The sightseeing
spots are inumerous – palaces, churches, gardens, monuments.
Nevertheless, this tour starts by a visit of the most
famous Gothic jewel of Prague – the Charles Bridge,
absolutely unique and unforgetable. Afterwards, during
the promenade, you will also admire another typical
particularity of the past of this quarter – its eloquent
house signs. After a relaxing walk through the most
romantic of the seven Moldau islands – the Kampa Island
– you will cross another of Prague´s seventeen bridges,
the Legions´ Bridge, to enter through the National Avenue
in the New Town to let yourselves impressed by the elegance
and luxury of this part of Prague´s center. The tour
terminates in Wenceslas Square, the most notoriously
known meeting point of all fatal Prague´s events during
the nineteenth and twentieth century.
